Once upon a time, roughly five years ago…
a girl named Erica (that’s me!) packed her bags and moved herself to Chicago, IL with nothing but an English degree, a part-time job at Barnes and Noble, and a dream of living in the big city.
Through some twists and turns of fate, she ended up in the finance world from 9:00 to 5:00 (she has since started a job as a Marketing Content Specialist). While taking on the grind of adulthood, her love for books sat patiently in a back crevice of her mind– waiting for her to say hello again.
That day finally came when Erica’s boyfriend (now husband) introduced her to the West Elm website and she saw the perfect chair (the Crosby Mid-Century Armchair, to be exact). It was the chair she had dreamed of as a little girl when she first imagined owning a book nook as an adult. The chair was plush and spacious, perfect for curling up with a thick hardcover or dog-eared paperback. Her fire for the perfect book nook was lit again.
